Ipod is releasing a new model of the Ipod-Touch. It seems that despite the fact that they continue to launch the same products over and over with a few added amenities people are still willing to buy the product that really they already own. I myself am looking to buy the new I-pod touch even though I have a couple of nano's. perhaps the odd thing is even I recognize that Apple is so good at what they do that even though we know what they are doing is reselling their product we knowingly, including myself, continue to re-purchase them.
I have always been amazed at the hysteria that ensues whenever Apple comes out with a new product. Since I've never actually been a part of it and haven't ever stood in one of the infamous lines on a day one comes out, I haven't paid too much attention to the details. It wasn't until I read your post that I realized that each new product that comes out really isn't that much different from the last one, and people, like yourself, still are very interested in making that purchase. It's reasons like these that make me think Apple would be such an interesting company to research (their business strategies, etc). How many companies have multiple products drawing so much media and consumer attention? Whatever Apple is doing, they're doing it well!
ReplyDeleteApple is just amazing. I only own the ipod as one of their products but I dream of owning everything they have ever made. Their marketing and advertising intrigues me and I just think they are ahead of the game in every aspect.
ReplyDeleteThere is actually a pretty huge difference between the previous generation iPod Touch and the new one. It has 2 cameras, front and rear facing, the ridiculously sharp retina display that is on the iPhone 4, the same A4 processor that allows for high-level processing as the iPad and iPhone 4, You can record video as well as take still pictures, and you can use FaceTime with other iPod Touch users as well as iPhone 4 users.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty much the only time the iPod Touch has really been revamped since it was introduced. Everything else was pretty much software based or virtually irrelevant to the casual user. The biggest change until now was the body style, and that happened 2 years ago.
